Fair Play is important to us at Sør Cup. In 2018, we therefore introduced the Green Card concept as our symbol of Fair Play. The Green Card will act as a counterbalance to the yellow and red cards, which are a punishment. The Green Card is a reward for a positive action.
Children’s football
Green cards are awarded in all classes from the age of 10 upwards.
It is the referees who hand out green cards if they think there is someone who excels positively by showing good behavior and fair play.
Green cards are not awarded in every match, and it is up to the referee to decide when it is appropriate to reward someone with a green card.
If a player receives a green card, it can be exchanged for a diploma in the information in the arena you are playing in.
What is Fair Play?
Fair Play is a very broad term, but can best be defined as a positive action.
It can be helping an opponent up, helping in case of injury, contributing with positive language and attitudes, etc.
We hope to see a lot of fair play and positive attitudes at the Sør Cup venues in this year’s cup.
